The project aims to provide young people from vulnerable backgrounds in Morocco and especially young women with opportunities for productive self-employment. Thanks to a tailor-made coaching program, they are supported in their integration into the labour market and become empowered to create resilient livelihoods for themselves.
Swisscontact introduces an innovative and tested Coaching for Employment and Entrepreneurship methodology to local stakeholders in Morocco who will provide the coaching to the target group. The Coaching Cycle strengthens core competencies, which can be divided into four dimensions: self-competencies, social skills, methodological competencies, and professional competencies. The uniqueness of the Coaching Cycle lies in the combination of the different training components and the elaboration of an individual development plan by the trainees in close supervision by a coach. In addition, the cycle is tailored to empower marginalised people as it intervenes at different levels of the labour insertion process. The methodology has been jointly developed by Swisscontact and the University of Lucerne.
Project Goals:
- Participants receive advice and guidance on labour market opportunities.
- Young women and men from vulnerable backgrounds have improved access to supporting financial and technical services.
- Beneficiaries are trained in life and soft skills.
- The methodology of the coaching cycle is anchored in local partner institutions, and local coaches are trained to carry out the coaching cycle.
