The Young World Program sponsored by the Ursula Zindel Hilti Foundation aims to expand the personal and professional repertoire of young people aged 15 to 19 years old living in the neighborhood of Rio Pequeno. This Program takes place at the Blandina Meirelles Institute, a non-profit organization that has been operating since 1963 in the Rio Pequeno neighborhood – West zone of São Paulo.
Its mission is to promote the development of children, adolescents and young people in social vulnerability, through socio-educational activities, aimed at building autonomy, responsibility and solidarity.
Along this trajectory, more than 15 thousand people were benefited.
The Young World Program plans to follow young people for 26 months:
Phase 1 – Personal and Social training (9 months):
- Personal and Social Development;
- Portuguse;
- Mathematics;
- Citizenship and News;
- Information and Communication Technology;
- Project Laboratory
Phase 2 – Training about the World of Work (5 months):
- Personal Marketing;
- Information and Communication Technology;
- Interpersonal relationship;
- Financial Education.
Phase 3 - Employability (12 months):
- Referral to young people to continue training;
- Referral of young people to employment opportunities.
In addition to these training, young people also have cooking and theater workshops that further expand their skills, preparing them to face the world.
