SOS Children’s Village Syria is an island of peace in the midst of war.
Since 2017 the Ursula Zindel-Hilti Foundation co-finances the costruction and running of the Social Center Saboura, 30 kilometres outside Damaskus.
Here 80 children who lost their parents during the war were given new homes in 10 units run according to family-style living. The main mission is the provision of support for the war-torn nation’s children and adolescents.
In addition to long-term support the children receive psychological treatment for trauma related to their war experiences, which is also extended to the community.
The main focus is the support of children in need!
